As much as I hate all the pictures of abandoned buildings, I think the Brewster Projects are one of the most intriguing areas of Detroit. Once we started wandering around, they became even more interesting. There was a coffee cup on a desk by a window in an abandoned room as if someone had just sat there drinking their morning coffee. Clothes were thrown across a couch with a pillow tucked into the side as if the couch had just been sleept on. Pink chairs were placed in random places as if someone had gone through and carefully placed left behind possessions to remind us that people had lived there. But the most intriguing part about the Brewster Projects is the skate park in the back constructed by kids from the suburbs.
